Well we left Trinidad on Oct 1st for an overnight sail to Grenada. It was a great forecast and we made great time in 15 knot winds on the beam. Around 2am we were hit by a squall of 40 knots which caught us with full sails up. Moosetracks is built very strong and just heeled to spill wind and turned into the wind as it continued. We reduced sail and hove to for 20-30 minutes before continuing as the wind reached 25-30 knots. A little drama in an otherwise perfect sail across.

We found our old anchorage in Hog Island had space so we anchored near were we had spent a wonderful 2 months previously. It didn't take long to get back into the swing of wonderful Grenada.
Our first event was the full moon dinghy raft up we called in Hog Island and had a great night with 6 other crews.

On our first trip to the supermarket we couldn't fail to notice how much more green and flowering the island is after the rainy season.

We decided we needed to do a hash while we are here. These are walks or runs through the rain forest on Grenada by large groups of enthusiasts. We chose to walk on the 2.5 mile course and had a muddy but enjoyable experience. The after event party has lots of cheap beer and food so it makes a wonderful evening too.

Well living on a boat does require regular maintenance so after our sail up from Trinidad we had noticed a failed steaming light so Devin went up to investigate and thankfully only had to replace the bulb. We also replace the broken stay sail topping lift which failed due to old age and strong winds.
We joined a group of 7-8 boats taking the bus to Mount Carmel falls a decent distance up island near Grenville. It was a short walk into the impressive 70 foot falls, very impressive. We all took swim wear and enjoyed vigorous showers and a swim.

Then after lunch we walked the path to the lower falls and some brave folks took a slide down the rocks, a lot of fun apparently!

Another trip to St Georges and we found the fish market and a nice roti nearby.

We had a volleyball tournament arranged by Secret harbor Marina, it was well represented by locals and cruisers and all had a great deal of fun. We attended the semi-finals and finals along with lots of others and clearly it was very hard fought.

Each month there is a dinghy concert put on by Le Phar Blu Marina and its always a great time and hugely popular so we attend when we can. it was an award winning local band and everyone had a great time. There was a huge exodus to Hog Island and additional beers at Roger's bar as witnessed by the huge numbers of dinghy's.

We had missed a number of jams at Wisper Cove Marina so we decided to make an effort before we left and attended one. We saw Gerry, Phil, Peter and their friends sing & play for us and it was again amazing to hear how much talent there is here.

We were sad to leave Hog Island but the season is coming up for going north and as our insurance limit allows us to leave on Nov 1st we headed for Tyrrel Bay on Carriacou to stage for then.
Our first dominoes tournament was well attended with 14 players and 3 tables. It was a huge surprise when we added the scores and Devin won!

We are hosting the noodling here and had Stan and Lan join us then when Truant III arrived they joined to.
Well it's the last day of the month and we now need to fly a new flag. We held out as they wear so fast but we wnt to put our best foot forward for the new season so we fitted our new flag hold and now fly a brand new flag on our flagpole.
