We have a welcome call from Mike and Karen on Nauti Dog to baby sit for their new puppy and keep him out of mischief while they are off the boat. We have a couple of great afternoons playing with Louie and Chester while Christmas shopping is done.

Of course before you know it Christmas is less than a week away. We take a day to unpack our decorations and make ourselves look feasting. It is so nice to look through our collection of ornaments and remind ourselves where we got them and friends who brought them. Each one seems to have a story and Liz loves regaling it all to the boys aboard.

It is also a time to exchange gifts and we make a few things to give to friends and get a few home made items in return. It's the love and care of each that makes them all so special.

Well Christmas Eve is here and we gather with a very large crowd on the Caritan beach to enjoy a pot luck. Lots of dinghies on a beach is a dead give away for a really large group. The food was fabulous with so many varied and interesting dishes you easy over did it.

On Christmas Day we gathered on Emily Morgan for a lunch with Anna, Bones, Jo and John. It was a roast lunch with a French duck taking center stage and roast potatoes as its sidekick. There was a special showing of Moose in their new jumpers which they had as presents from other boats. Pluto had a hard time believing they needed jummies in the Caribbean, but the boys explained it all.

Well after a few days of over eating you need a nice long hike to work off some of the calories. So Lynn from Silverheels III called a lovely walk to Bae des Anglais on the other side of the peninsula. It was a great 4 hour hike and certainly worked out the lethargy.

Well before you know it it is time to say farewell to good friends. Anna and Bones have a schedule for the next 15 months to circle the planet with the world ARC rally. It leaves on the 6th of January so they have to get to St Lucia and get checked in and meet the first leg crew. It will be an awesome adventure for them so we all celebrate with big hugs for everyone.

New Years eve and the arrival of 2018 was celebrated on Nauti Dog with a large group; Karen & Michael - Nauti Dog, Jim and Sharna - Second Spray, Debbie & Jeff - Sea Sparrow, Richard & Deanne - Endorphine II, Rene & Stacy - Pipe muh Bligh and John & Jo - Out of Africa. It was a fabulous night with an Asian themed meal which turned out wonderfully. The night ended with champagne and fireworks to welcome the new year.
We had several more hikes both moderate at long and need to keep up the fitness for a few weeks. We noodled three times a week as well with a group that reached 14 at times, we are still amazed how much people are impressed with noodling and the benefits to back and leg injuries.

Well we guess after a month here in St Anne, it's got to be time to move on. We have to be in St Martin at the end of February to get a huge import of boat parts duty free. So we need to get a move on.
We hope all our friends and family had a wonderful holiday season and wish you all a fantastic 2018.
